Broadway, TV inch back to normal post-storm, USA Today
New York City’s showbiz is returning to some sense of normalcy as the effects of Superstorm Sandy linger.
While power remains out in vast swaths of the city and subway service has yet to be restored, most Broadway shows planned regular Wednesday matinees and evening performances.
Carnegie Hall, near the site of a construction crane left dangling by the storm, has canceled events through Thursday. The Brooklyn Nets’ season opener in their new home, the Barclays Center, was canceled for Thursday, and so was Wednesday night’s Greenwich Village Halloween Parade, though organizers hope to reschedule it for next week.
