Former NFLer Ro Williams Debuts Chat on ConnecTV

Roland Williams, who won a Super Bowl ring in 2000 as a tight end for the St. Louis Rams, on Sunday night (8:30 p.m. EST) debuted the first of his twice a week sports chat program on ConnecTV.com.

The second show is tonight at 7 p.m. Eastern Time and 4 Pacific.

“It was really exciting launching the battleship,” Williams told Social TV Daily this afternoon in a phone conversation. “There is so much to learn about the social space.”

Since retiring from the NFL in 2006, Williams has been a sports analyst, appearing on CBS, ESPN, NBC, NFL, Fox and ABC, while also organizing a number of charitable activities.

This is his first venture into the Social TV realm.

Williams met the ConnecTV team at the Social TV Summit in Los Angeles in June and agreed to do the chat program last week. He did Sunday night’s program remotely, and then flew to Los Angeles where he will do Monday night’s program from ConnecTV’s studios on Wilshire Blvd.
