Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and Sports Mark Monday Night’s Social TV Buzz (May 7)

 

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta ignited over 600,000 tweets yesterday, according to SocialGuide’s measurement, or 430,000 mentions on Twitter, Facebook, Viggle and GetGlue, according to Trendrr.

Regardless of which numbers you like, it’s clear that the VH1 show is a Social TV phenomenon. Shame that it went up against great NBA Playoff games that combined for nearly 2 million mentions as the Social TV leaders for Monday night — according to Trendrr — and 1,557,737 tweets, according to SocialGuide.

The Chicago Bulls’ 93-986 upset at the Miami Heat on TNT had 1,031,209 mentions by 479,l18 people as the No. 1 show on cable and broadcast, while TNT’s San Antonio Spurs 129-127 thriller over Golden State Warriors drew 815,245 mentions at No. 2, according to Trendrr.

WWE Monday Night Raw was the No. 4 show, after L&HHA with 195,000 mentions while NHL PLayoffs on NBC Sports was No. 5 on cable with 121,000 mentions, Trendrr said.

‘The Voice’ was the top show on broadcast, up 12 percent over last night, with 224,000 mentions by 106,000 people. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on ABC was the No. 2 show with 105,000 mentions. ‘How I Met Your Mother’ on CBS was third with 52,000 mentions while ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ had 33,000 mentions at No. 4 and ‘Castle’ on ABC was fifth with 30,000 mentions, according to Trendrr.

L&HHA and The Voice were the only non-sports shows on SocialGuide’s top 10 program for the night. Hockey was in the 5,6, 7 and 9 spots while RAW was No.8.
