Facebook Reportedly Looking to Charge US$ 1 million for Video Advertisements

Advertising on Facebook might become a little more costly as its being reported the social network will charge US$ 1 million for a single video advertisement. Paying to Promote With video advertising becoming a formidable tool, there have been many social sites, like LinkedIn who have started offering video advertising options.

TV Ratings: MTV’s ‘Awkward’ Returns Steady, ‘Deadliest Catch’ Jumps in Season 9

Awkward eased into its new Tuesday time slot last night on par with its 2012 opener. The MTV comedy, created by Lauren Iungerich and starring Jenna Hamilton, kicked off its third with 2.14 million viewers over back-to-back episodes at 10 p.m. That’s down a touch from last June’s 2.2 million premiere but on par with the August finale.

Aereo to broadcasters: move to cable at your own risk

There is no love lost between Web TV service Aereo and the broadcast networks. The networks actually seem to actively hate the service. This has resulted in lawsuits thrown at the company and then some broadcasters, first Fox and then CBS, even threatening to quit the free TV business altogether if Aereo is allowed to survive.

Verizon: Damn The Cable Cutters, Full Pay TV Ahead

What cable cutters? If Verizon Communications latest quarterly earning are any indication, over-the-wire services have little to worry about in the near future. Verizon’s wireline FiOS revenue for pay TV and Internet leaped 15.1% higher in the prior quarter, up to $2.6 billion.

Vizu Survey Finds An Online Shift Towards Brand Advertising (Plus Mobile, Social, And Video)

AMC Confirms ‘Talking Bad’ After Show, Renews ‘Talking Dead’, ‘Comic Book Men’ & ‘Freakshow’

Univision, Telemundo Off to Strong Ratings Starts in 2013

While their English-language counterparts have struggled in the ratings so far this year, Univision and Telemundo are headed in the other direction.
