Last night, “Smash’s” season premiere gave fans (and haters) two hours of the “most award winning cast” on television, the hashtag #smash, and its actors live tweeting during the show. Earlier, Betty White celebrated her 90th birthday (again) and “NCIS” went after a cyberterrorist.   • ‘Smash’ ratings smushed!

Smash came back to 4.5 million viewers and a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. That’s down 71 percent from its premiere last year and down 47 percent from NBC’s performance average in this time period this season.

  • “How I Met Your Mother” helps CBS sweep Monday

CBS swept every half hour of primetime in adults 18-49 Monday. CBS averaged 10.1 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households for the night. FOX (9 million, 5.4/8) came in second, a little ahead of ABC (8.1 million, 5.4/8). NBC finished fourth with 4.9 million viewers and a 3.1/5.
