Tonight’s TV Hghlights

Tonight’s BCS Championship football game may break a 7-year-old ratings record if more than 30 million homes tune into the game on ESPN. Alternatives include the reworking of “The Insider” as “omg! Insider,” as well as the “The Bachelor” on ABC.

NFL Wild Card Game Boosts NBC

The NFL Wild Card Game between the Green Bay Packers against the Minnesota Vikings boosted NBC With an average 26.0 million viewers for the night. CBS came in second via a repeat of “The Mentalist,” and two new episodes of “48 Hours,” while FOX landed at third with “Cops” and “The Mob Doctor.” ABC brought up fourth place for the night with an average 1.9 million viewers for back-to-back repeat episodes of “Once Upon A Time.”

Roku Set-Top Boxes to Stream Live TV in Time Warner Cable Pact

Roku said it’s adding 300 live television channels through a partnership with Time Warner Cable Inc. to allow access to live TV and Internet video from sites such as Netflix and YouTube from the same set-top box, the companies said in a statement.
