Sunday’s Social TV Buzz Numbers

 

NBA Playoff basketball broadcasts on ABC and TNT were the No. 1 and No. 2 most-commented programs on TV Sunday, according to Trendrr.

The Lakers were swept from the playoffs by San Antonio on TNT, igniting some 1,060,952 mentions on Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle by 584,113 people as the top Social TV show on cable, and overall. The Nuggets at Warriors game was No. 2 with 216,667 mentions while ‘Game of Thrones’ was No. 3 with 154,018 mentions. Baseball rounded out the top 5 with 59,335 mentions of the Blue Jays at the Yankees on TBS then 52,709 mentions of the Braves at the Tigers.

The Celtics avoided a first-round sweep with a win against the Knicks, with 689,729 mentions by 332,683 people as the top Social TV show on broadcast TV. The No. 2 show was the Miami Heat at the Milwaukee Bucks with 218,851 mentions, followed by Premios TV y Novelas on Univision with 106,708 mentions, ‘The Voice’ on NBC with 72,653 mentions, then ‘The Simpsons’ on Fox with 70,817.

For the day, some 1.3 million people shared 3.3 million TV-related tweets about 919 programs, SocialGuide reported this morning. Peaks during the day came during the 15-minute periods starting at 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

SocialGuide had Spurs at Lakers on TNT as the top SocialTV show on Twitter.
