“30 Rock” heads towards its Jan. 31 finale tonight on NBC while “American Idol” heads to Chicago in its second episode of the season. For those with a taste for politics, “1600 Penn” offers a new episode at 9:30 on NBC while the History channel enters the 20th Century with its series “Ultimate Guide to the Presidents.” Then, at 9, Oprah’s much-tweeted Lance Armstrong interview on OWN (for those who can get it).

‘NCIS’ has another huge night Tuesday

“NCIS” delivered its second-biggest audience ever Tuesday night, drawing more than 22 million viewers and scoring the night’s best adults 18-49 rating as well. CBS completely dominated the night in viewers, drawing just under 17 million people and a 10.6 rating/16 share in households.

With a new job hosting an online TV show, conservative former U.S. Rep. Allen West says he won’t run for Congress again in 2014 after his narrow November loss to Democrat Patrick Murphy. West, a Republican whose 2010 campaign and stormy two years in the House built him a national following on the right, has been hired by conservative PJ Media to host a show called Next Generation Today. The show launches Feb. 4 and will require a subscription starting at $5 a month or $40 a year.
