Tuesday’s Social TV Buzz Numbers

NBC’s “The Voice” sparked 206,558 mentions on four social media networks as the top show overall on Tuesday, April 9, with a 24-percent share of the total daily TV buzz as tracked by Social TV analytics firm Trendrr.

ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” was the second most-buzzed show on broadcast TV with 84,000 mentions, while Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club” was tops on cable with 103,000 mentions followed by Nick’s “SpongeBob” with 89,000 mentions.

Trendrr measures mentions on Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle and publishes its results’ chart daily.

On Twitter, the New Orleans Hornets at Los Angeles Lakers NBA game on Fox regional and NBA TV sparked 221,677 tweets by 90,000 people as SocialGuide’s No. 1 social-buzzed program while “The Voice” had 111,655 mentions by nearly 73,000 people.

SocialGuide measured more than 1.2 million uniques and 2.5 million tweets about 624 shows, peaking at 9:30-9:44 p.m. ET with 95,773 tweets.

The top 10 shows included seven sports-related broadcasts, including the NCAA women’s college basketball championship, NBA action and international soccer.
