“The Ellen Degeneres Show” on NBC got people talking yesterday with a show that featured Lady Antebellum and Lauren Graham.

But, the unprecedented bump, as shown by the numbers, may be due to a new promotion with Viggle, announced earlier this week, that encourages ‘check-ins’ for a $20,000 prize.

The daily program, which has 19 million followers on Twitter, was the No. 2 Social TV program on broadcast TV Tuesday with 109,874 mentions on Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle, according to Trendrr’s daily analysis.

NBC’s ‘The Voice’ was the top broadcast show with 266,450 mentions by 115,000 people, while ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ was No. 3 with 66,098 mentions, followed by NCIS on CBS with 56,000 mentions and then, ‘New Girl’ on Fox with 51,000 mentions.

Sports dominated on the cable side, with NBA Playoffs on TNT taking the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, and the NHL Playoffs on NBC Sports and CNBC taking the No. 4 and No. 5 spots. Oxygen’s “The Bad Girls Club” was the No. 2 program.

The Knicks beat the Pacers 105-79 with 477,567 mentions by 238,618 people as the top program while the Memphis Grizzlies 99-93 win over Oklahoma City had 187,886 mentions.

The Pittsburgh Penguins, a social fan favorite, lost at the New York Islanders, 6-4, with 163,925 mentions.

The Ottawa Senators defeated the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2, and the Stanley Cup playoff, spurring 162,083 mentions.
