Tuesday Night’s Social TV Numbers
TNT’s NBA basketball playoff game between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics, won 87-71 by the Knicks, was Tuesday’s top Social TV program with 489,757 mentions across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle, Trendrr reported this morning.
The top 5 shows on cable had 946,062 mentions and included TNT’s NBA playoff basketball games at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions and ESPN’s ’30 for 30′ at No. 5, sandwiching ‘The Bad Girls Club’ on Oxygen at No. 3 and ‘SpongeBob’ on Nick at No. 4.
NBC’s ‘The Voice’ topped broadcast TV social buzz with 185,000 mentions by 102,679 people. Broadcast programming totalled 398,159 mentions for the top 5 shows.
‘Dancing with the Stars’ on ABC was second with 80,000 mentions, followed by ‘NCIS’ on CBS with 61,000 mentions, and ‘Body of Proof’ on ABC with 37,247 mentions, then ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ with 36,000 mentions, rounding out the top 5.
Social TV activity on Twitter peaked at the 15-minute period starting at 10:30 with 123,767 mentions, according to SocialGuide’s report this morning. For the day, 1,15 million people 2.39 million tweets about 927 TV shows.
SocialGuide said Knicks-Celts game was the top Social TV program for the day with 318,849 related tweets by 156,241 uniques.
