The Miami Heat’s 103-102 win over the Indiana Pacers on TNT dominated Social TV buzz Wednesday with 1,105,708 mentions on Viggle, GetGlue, Facebook and Twitter, according to Trendrr, and 2,266,363 Twitter mentions, according to SocialGuide. There’s no way to really reconcile the disparity between the two counts but the takeaway is that sports rule the buzz and great games ignite comments.

The game ended at approximately 11:50 EDT, corresponding to a peak of 638,250 TV-related tweets in the 15-minute period between 11:45-11:59, according to SocialGuide. The game’s buzz represented 65 percent of the day’s activity (3,499,904 tweets by 1,274,011 people about 1,014 programs, according to SocialGuide). Trendrr had the game’s buzz at 59 percent of the day’s activity.

‘Criminal Minds’ on CBS was the day’s top broadcast show, up 146 percent over its previous broadcast with 115,383 mentions, according to Trendrr. ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on NBC continues its notable social buzz, coming in as the No. 2 show for the day with 99,000 mentions. ‘MasterChef’ on Fox was No. 3 with 86,000 mentions while ‘Law & Order: SVU’ on NBC was No. 4 with 74,000 mentions while ABC’s ‘Nashville’ was fifth with 57,000 mentions.

On cable, Sportscenter on ESPN was second with 89,000 mentions; NHL Stanley Cup playoff hockey with Pittsburgh beating Ottawa was third with 75,000 mentions followed by ESPN2′s ‘First Take’ with 66,000, then ‘Duck Dynasty’ on A&E with 57,000.
